IHOP, the newest restaurant to Owensboro’s east side, will open at 6 a.m. on Dec. 29.
The first 50 people in line will receive one free short stack of buttermilk pancakes per week for an entire year.
IHOP is located at 3080 Highland Pointe Drive, between the Courtyard by Mariott hotel and Drake’s restaurant.
According to the IHOP website, they have been in business for more than 61 years. IHOP serves more than 14 different varieties of pancakes including Buttermilk, Chocolate Chip, Harvest Grain ‘N Nut, New York Cheesecake and fruit-topped pancakes.
There are seven IHOPS located in Kentucky, but the closest one is located in Evansville, Ind.
