LADY PANTHERS FALL SHORT AFTER SLOW START
Tournament host Russell County jumped out to a 23-5 lead after the first quarter, and Daviess County (6-3) never recovered in a 64-37 loss in the Banker Hardwood Classic.
Adylan Ayer led the Lady Panhters with 14 points and Brooklyn Daugherty added 10 points, with each hitting three 3-pointers. Also contributing were Katie Mewes (7), Kaylee Blandford (5) and Reagan Chinn (1).
BOYS
EARLY DEFICIT TOO MUCH IN TRINITY LOSS
A first-half deficit was too much to overcome for Trinity (3-7), who lost 76-48 to McCreary Central in the Williamstown Holiday Tournament. The Raiders fell behind 45-20 in the first half and dropped their fourth game in a row.
Ethan Howard led Trinity with 15 points, while Brenden Wathen and Landon Hall added seven each. Also scoring were Bailey Wright (4), Landon Huff (3), Nathan Hernandez (3), Landon Smith (3), Cade Mills (2), Gavin Howard (2) and Denver Dickens (2).
