Hannah McKay posted another double-double, using 27 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Owensboro Catholic girls’ basketball team to a 67-59 road victory over Meade County on Sunday.
The Lady Aces led 20-16 after the first quarter and stretched the advantage to 40-20 by halftime. The Lady Waves rallied late but the deficit was too big to overcome.
McKay went 11-for-14 from the field and hit both 3-point attempts, also adding three assists and a steal.
Catholic’s Isabella Henning added 15 points and seven rebounds, while Ally Maggard added six points and five boards. Also scoring were Spencer Harvey (7), Catherine Head (5), Caroline Reid (5) and Katie Riney (2). Henning, Head and Maggard each had four assists.
