This week’s Owensboro Times football honor goes to Daviess County’s Max Dees.
Lane, a sophomore defensive back for the Panthers, is the Football Player of the Week after earning the most votes in the weekly poll. He recorded five total tackles to go along with a forced fumble and an interception in a 49-45 win over Apollo.
Next week’s Football Player of the Week poll will open Monday morning and run through Wednesday at 5 p.m. Nominees will be based on names and stats submitted by coaches.
Note: Winners of the weekly honors will not be eligible for nomination again.
