The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and the Daviess County Coroners Office are currently working a death investigation.
Deputies were dispatched to the 7400 block of Saur Road Friday night where a caller advised he had found a subject lying in a grassy area behind his residence, who appeared to be dead. When deputies arrived they located a white male in the field.
An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday in Louisville. The cause of death has yet to determined.
The male was identified with the assistance of the Owensboro Police Department’s fingerprint identification system. His name is being withheld while relatives are being contacted.
