This week’s Owensboro Times football honor goes to Daviess County’s Weston Lane.
Lane, a senior linebacker for the Panthers, is the Football Player of the Week after earning the most votes in the weekly poll. He recored 16 total tackles and one solo in a 30-17 win over Henderson County.
Next week’s Football Player of the Week poll will open Monday morning and run through Wednesday at 5 p.m. Nominees will be based on names and stats submitted by coaches.
Note: Winners of the weekly honors will not be eligible for nomination again.
