Freda M. Culver, age 80, of Brookville, Indiana, formerly of Owensboro, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 25, 2019. Born December 1, 1938 she is now walking in streets of gold with her late mother and father, Leonard and Mattie Wells of Brookville, Indiana and late husband, Chester Culver, of 40 years.
She was a graduate of Brookville High School 1956. Married Chester P. Culver on June 2, 1956. Freda also graduated from Cumberland College in Williamsburg, KY. She was a member of Crosspointe Baptist Church in Owensboro. Freda enjoyed crafting, reading, and crossword puzzles. She loved watching Indiana University and University of Kentucky basketball games and traveling to the Smokies with family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a baby sister; brother, Donnie Wells; and two sisters-in-law, Sweet Wells and Irene Wells.
Freda leaves behind a daughter, Paula M. Bradley of Lewisport, KY; granddaughter, Jona M. (Nick) Hall of Fordsville, KY; grandsons, Jeremiah D. Rearden of Hawesville, KY, Juston P. (Blake) Rearden of Owensboro, and Jacob Rearden of Hawesville; nine precious great-grandchildren that she adored, Max and Alex Rearden, Rylen, Layla and Emma Rearden, and Easton, Abilene, Mattie, and Boone Hall; brother, Jim (late Irene) Wells; two sisters, Betty (late Sherman) Sparks and Carol (Ralph) Lohrey, all of Brookville. She also leaves behind many loved nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Also, a host of many dear friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Rob Edwards, of Buena Southern Missionary Church officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Sorgho, KY. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
