Francis Terrell Chase, 84, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born March 16, 1941 in Ballard County, Kentucky to the late William and Lillie M. Terrell. She served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1962. Francis retired from the Department of Education, Vocational Education, where she worked for Daviess County Vocational School and Owensboro Vocational School in accounting. She worked part-time for the Owensboro Public School System at the Central Office. Francis enjoyed working in the garden, reading, and her pets.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Melvin Leroy Chase; and a niece, Susan Cotton.
She is survived by a nephew, Joseph Michael Terrell; and friends, Sherry Baber, Misty Williams, and Angel Bennett.
Per Francis’ wishes, there will be no service or visitation. James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of her arrangements.
