Standing before a crowd of local Republicans at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum on Monday night, Congressman James Comer shared the story behind his new book, All the President’s Money — a project he said was born out of frustration and a desire to set the record straight.

Hosted by the Daviess County Republican Party, the private event allowed Comer to dive into the findings of his investigation into the Biden family’s finances, which he led as chairman of the House Oversight Committee.

“It was therapy for me to be able to write the book and go into detail,” Comer said. “I didn’t know if anyone would ever read the book, but I wanted an accurate accounting of what the Bidens did and what we had found.”

Comer said the investigation uncovered evidence of money laundering and tens of millions of dollars received by the Biden family from foreign adversaries.

“People call it the Hunter Biden investigation, but at the end of the day, it was a Joe Biden investigation,” Comer said. “Joe Biden knew exactly who his family was taking money from. He met with all of them, even though he said he didn’t.”

Comer added that he believes President Biden played a key role in closing deals, often meeting with individuals after arrangements had been made by his family members.

The book was released just before President Biden pardoned several family members, which Comer said validated the findings detailed in his work. All the President’s Money was published by HarperCollins, one of the largest publishing companies in the United States. It appeared on the New York Times bestseller list for three consecutive weeks, according to Comer.

Comer added that writing the book has been the most enjoyable experience of his 20-plus years in public service.

“I got to write exactly how I feel,” he said. “The people stop me at the airport and say they read the book. It’s been really enjoyable, and I love talking about it.”

He also addressed challenges faced during publication, saying Hunter Biden’s attorney, Abby Lowell, had threatened to sue HarperCollins over the release. Comer noted that extensive footnotes and endnotes were included in the book to provide liability protection.

“No one’s disputed anything that I wrote about the Bidens,” Comer said.

In addition to discussing the book, Comer briefly touched on the current tariff situation. While he said he is generally not a fan of tariffs, he voiced support for giving the president time to renegotiate trade deals.

“We have a trade deficit, and we shouldn’t be producing things like medicine and semiconductors in other countries,” Comer said. “Anything that pertains to our national security, we should be producing in the United States.”
