Jewell Dean Fraze, age 87 of Cecilia, KY passed away April 20, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin. She was born in Breckinridge County on July 13, 1937, daughter of the late Herbert and Ruby Conder Sosh. Jewell was a retired seamstress, having worked in Grayson, Hardin and Larue Counties. She was an excellent cook, with her specialties being big breakfasts and desserts. If you came for a visit, she would feed you. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and canning. Her family was her world and she loved visits with them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Delmer Fraze and her brother Randall Sosh.
Jewell is survived by 3 children: David Fraze (Kathy) of Custer, KY
Barbara Allen of Elizabethtown, KY
Bonnie Fraze of Cecilia, KY
2 grandsons: Jerad Allen and Kevin Fraze (Patrina Drago-Fraze)
1 brother: Kenny Sosh (Janet) of McDaniels, KY
1 sister: Beulah Sanders (Bill) of Elizabethtown, KY
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 11 AM with burial in the Custer Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 4-8 PM and Wednesday after 8:30 AM. All times are central.
