Tena Lorene Whitler, 72 of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at her home. She was born on October 17, 1952 in Louisville to the late Evelyn Kiper Allen. Tena was a supervisor at Tamarlane Industries. Tena loved children, especially her grandchildren, reading, cooking and being a wife, mother and homemaker.
Aside from her mother, she was preceded in death by her father, William Allen; her husband, Cecil Wayne Whitler, Sr., one brother, Allen “Buddy” Kiper and one sister, Beverly Kessinger.
She leaves behind to cherish many memories, her children, Christina Phelps of Beaver Dam, Tina “Lori” (Ellen) Watson of Beaver Dam, Thomas Watson of Beaver Dam, Vicki (Charlie) Buchanan of Beaver Dam, Steven (Beth) Watson of Beaver Dam and Erin (Zakry) Baize of Beaver Dam; three stepchildren, Clark David Watson, Jr. of Louisville, Cecil (Stacy) Whitler, Jr. of Russellville and Sandra Camacho of Florida; one sister, Shirley (George) Calloway of Beaver Dam; twenty four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, April 21, 2025 with Bro. Rodeny Albin officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Tena’s family from 10 A.M. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
