Wavie C. Collins 70, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at his home in Owensboro. Wavie Creed Collins was born August 16, 1954 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Ozias Denton and Mary Agnes Bartley Collins and was married to the former Cynthia Gay Quinn on April 4, 1992.
Wavie retired from Lincoln Products in Owensboro. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing. Wavie was a huge John Wayne fan and also enjoyed watching any Western show or movie.
In addition to his parents, Wavie was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Chuck Gregory.
Wavie is survived by his wife of 33 years, Cindy Collins; two sons, Bradley Quinn and Adam Beavers both of Owensboro; a daughter, Tonya Wilhite of Owensboro; two granddaughters, Aja Mattingly (Joel) and London Wilhite both of Owensboro; two brothers, Billy Collins (Coco) and Milton Collins (Charlotte) both of Owensboro; two sisters, Marie Gregory of Florida and Susan Vance (Arthur) of Calhoun; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Wavie’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Thursday at Musters in Calhoun.
