Susan Mary Fuqua, 61, of Owensboro, went to be with her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at her home. She was born in Gaylord, MI on July 22, 1963 to the late Willis and Glenna Brooks Kohler. Susan was a member of Easton Community Church for many years and was a loving wife to Ronald and loving mother to Rebecca. She was a devout Christian, tried to be an inspiration to others and was a good listener. Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Fuqua; father, Willis Kohler; mother and stepfather, Glenna and David Reed, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Brandon Rapier) Fuqua; siblings, Tammy Reed, Lila Knight, Denise Kohler, David Reed, Patrick Kohler and Michael Kohler; mother-in-law, Naomi Fuqua.
Services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville Chapel with burial following in Boling Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10 am until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Gibson & Son Funeral Home to help offset costs.
