Marie Schrecker Hester, 91, of Owensboro passed away April 10, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Owensboro on April 1, 1934, to the late Herman and Lottie Page Schrecker. Marie was a lifelong member of Precious Blood.
Along with her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her first husband, Benny Hardesty; her second husband, Marion Ray Hester; and her daughter, Sandra Self.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Theresa (Pat) O’Bryan and Annette (David) Wilson; her adopted sons, Ben and Justin Wilkerson; her sister, Lucille Contarino; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Precious Blood Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to visitation at Precious Blood on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
