Emergency shelter opening at Owensboro Christian for those displaced by flooding

An emergency shelter is opening at 4 p.m. Thursday at Owensboro Christian Church for those displaced by flooding, according to the Daviess County Emergency Management Agency.

The shelter, located at Entrance A (2818 New Hartford Road), will remain open through Monday morning.

Cots, meals, and linens will be provided, though officials encourage people to bring their own bedding if possible. Medications should also be brought with you.

Please note that pets are not allowed.
