
Betty Curry 92, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at her home near Livermore. Betty Dean Brown was born April 5, 1933 in the Birk City Community of Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Orville R. and Mary Agnes Sheriff Brown and was married to William Raymond ‘Bill’ Curry on August 13, 1959.
Betty retired as head cashier from Krogers in Owensboro after 42 years of service and was an active member of Pleasant Hill Community Church. At Pleasant Hill, she served for 30 years as a lay leader, was Past President of United Methodist Womens, and served on several other church committees.
Betty was a 50 year member of Livermore Womens Club and served as President of Local #227 Retirees for over 20 years. She greatly enjoyed entertaining and celebrating with her family for any holiday. Betty also enjoyed hosting both bridal and baby showers and loved sitting in her carport swing.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, William R. ‘Bill’ Curry, who died on July 5, 2006; her brother, Larry Brown; a sister, Wanda Jean Volk; a brother-in-law, Joe Volk; and a nephew, Mike Volk.
Betty is survived by a son, Stewart Curry (Donna) of Livermore; a daughter, Robin Curry Simmons of Livermore; two grandchildren, Stephanie Curry Fulkerson (Robbie) and Raymond Curry (Sierra); a great-granddaughter, on the way in July, Hampton Dean Curry; a sister, Brenda Hayden (Larry) of Owensboro; two sisters-in-law, Doris Turner of Livermore and Sue Brown of Owensboro; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Betty’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Livermore.
