Daviess County Parks & Recreation will host an Easter egg hunt this Saturday at Yellow Creek Park. The event is free, but pre-registration is required and space is limited.
The hunt will take place on the baseball fields and is open to children in two age groups: 3-5 and 6-9. Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m., with the first hunt for younger children starting at 11 a.m., followed by the second hunt at noon.
Only 150 registration slots are available, according to the event page on the county’s website, and no on-site registration will be offered. Participation is limited to Daviess County residents. To register, click here or call the Parks Office at 270-685-6142.
Each child will receive an Easter egg bag provided by the Parks Department, and participants will be limited to 10 eggs, according to the event page. A food truck will also be on site.
In case of inclement weather, Daviess County Fiscal Court will announce updates on its Facebook page. A rain date is scheduled for April 19.
Yellow Creek Park is located at 5710 KY 144. Event parking will be available near the ball diamonds and maintenance buildings.
