Clifton Dwayne Wells, 56, of Owensboro, passed away on April 7, 2025. He was born in Daviess County on April 13, 1968 to the late Ed and Mary Joan Edge Wells. Dwayne was a member of St. Stephen’s Cathedral and a graduate of Trinity High School. He was an artist and enjoyed Tae Kwan Do. Dwayne enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his father in 2003 and his mother in 2022, Dwayne is preceded in death by his brothers Bruce Lynn Wells in 1960, Douglas Blane Wells in 2023, Marvin Louis Wells in 2024, and several other loved ones.
Dwayne is survived by his children Hannah and Taran Wells; his dog Max; siblings, Rene Weber, Brian (Vicky) Wells of New Jersey, Keith (Bernie) Wells of Calhoun, and many well-loved nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and good friends.
A Funeral Mass will be said on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Whitesville, KY. With burial following at St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 10 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with prayers at 5:30 p.m. at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville.
