William “Eddie” Edward White passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2025, just after midnight at his home. Born December 22nd, 1948, to Rose Helen (Kurz) White and John Joseph White, both of Owensboro. Eddie was known for his generosity and quiet, shy demeanor. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1969. After his service, he worked at Suburban Gas and GE Motor Division, where he dedicated many years before retiring. In his retirement, Eddie found fulfillment in woodworking and gardening, often giving away much of his produce to the Daniel Patino Shelter and others in need. He also grew beautiful sunflowers, which he happily shared with anyone who asked. Eddie enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, particularly watching western movies and collecting memorabilia, a quiet hobby that brought him joy.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Rose Helen White (Kurz) and John Joseph White, and sister, Nancy Sue Taylor.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Christine Stroud, and brother, John Joseph White Jr.
