
A most rare and sweet soul made her return to her creator God on Saturday April 5, 2025, in the same quiet and peaceful way in which she lived her life. Tamara Lynn Brown’s sixty-one years were marked by her kindness, gentleness and simplicity which cast a cooling shade upon those who knew and loved her. Hers was a life that testified that the meek shall indeed inherit the earth. Born October 18, 1963, in Owensboro to the late Nuel Royce (“Frog”) and Sally Brown. Tammy was a graduate of Daviess County High School and Kentucky Wesleyan College. Many young people in the area were benefactors of Tammy’s dedication as a counselor with the state of Kentucky and Vocational Rehabilitation. Her dedicated spirit to the causes which she devoted her life also included fourteen mission trips through Bellevue Baptist Church and included time served in Ukraine, Haiti, Bolivia and Puerto Rico.
Along with her parents, Tammy was preceded in death by a brother, Roy “Buster” Brown.
Many friends and family will reflect fondly through the years of Tammy’s time on earth including her sisters, Sandy Tucker (Stephen), and Donna Cunningham (Paul). Tammy’s beloved nieces and nephews including, Drew Cunningham (Kaitlyn), Luke Cunningham (Ally), Caitlyn and Caleb Tucker (Lauren), and Taylor and Hadley Brown; and cherished great-nieces, Claire and Libby Cunningham.
For the past two years the staff and residents of Wellington Parc have provided Tammy a home that was safe and happy and her family wishes to express their gratitude to all the staff that loved and cared for her.
Funeral services for Tammy will be 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation is from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
