Two-time Grammy Award winner Billy Strings and renowned guitarist Bryan Sutton will perform two nights at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum in Owensboro this fall as part of an intimate tour supporting their surprise new live album. Tickets for the limited-capacity shows will be available exclusively through a lottery system now open through April 21 at 2 p.m. ET.

The duo’s new collaborative album, Live at the Legion, was released today — exactly one year after it was recorded live at Nashville’s American Legion Post 82. The album features 20 traditional bluegrass and folk songs, including new renditions of Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright” and Doc Watson’s “Way Downtown.” The release is available to stream now, with CD and vinyl pre-orders also open.

The fall tour, including stops at Lexington’s Rupp Arena, Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Chattanooga’s The Signal, and Boone, North Carolina’s Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts, will feature Strings and Sutton joined by bassist Royal Masat.

The album’s release follows a banner year for Strings, who earned a Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album with Live Vol. 1, debuting No. 1 on Billboard’s Bluegrass Albums chart. His latest studio album, Highway Prayers, also topped Billboard’s all-genre Top Album Sales chart — becoming the first bluegrass album to do so in 22 years.

Strings is currently on a nationwide headline tour with sold-out dates across the U.S. and his first shows in Canada. He’ll also embark on an arena tour through Australia and New Zealand this summer before joining Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival Tour in May.
