Daviess County split their double header, while Owensboro won. In other action, both Owensboro Catholic and Hancock County lost.

Daviess County 6, Fleming County 3

Logan Mewes drove in two runs to help Daviess County beat Fleming County 6-3. Brody Brubaker and Lucas Ward both had a hit and drove in a run, while Mason Russelburg went 3-3. Ben Watkins started on the mound, allowing one run over three innings, while Sean Page and Ward both pitched out of the bullpen.

Hilliard Bradley 8, Daviess County 7

Leading 7-6 in the top of the sixth, Daviess County was unable to close it out, falling to Hilliard Bradley 8-7. Logan Mewes and Gavin Howard combined for four RBIs, while Sean Page went 2-3 with an RBI. Parker Wilson allowed four earned runs over four innings, while Noah Ranburger pitched the last two innings out of the bullpen.

Hancock County 8, Carlisle 4

The Hornets’ offense roared alive in the top of the ninth, scoring five runs to beat Carlisle 8-4. Jack Roberts and Grant Smith combined for three hits and five RBIs, while Jacob Shultz and Dylan Mucker both had two hits. Dec Lewko allowed two runs (unearned) over eight innings, striking out 11, while Shultz pitched a perfect ninth inning.

Owensboro 11, Pinellas Park Senior (Largo), FL 0

Eli Hampton went 3-4 with a homer and three RBIs to power the Red Devils past Pinellas Park 11-0. Ty Ashley, Brady Benjamin, Brody Glenn, Brayden Toler, and Tristan Miller all drove in runs, while Cayden Ray went 1-3 and scored twice. Will Rickard threw a complete game shutout, striking out six over seven innings.

University High School 8, Owensboro Catholic 3

The Aces couldn’t get out of their own way, committing five errors in their loss to University High School. Jake Murphy went 2-4 with an RBI, while Parker Heistand and Barrett Evans both drove in runs. Evans allowed one earned run over four innings, striking out six, while Myles Grant and Chase Keller both pitched in relief.
