Retail stores Old Navy, Carter’s, and LOFT appear to be coming to Gateway Commons, according to building permits obtained Wednesday by Owensboro Times. This comes after building permits in January showed Buckle and Boot Barn were coming to the same shopping center.

According to the documents obtained Wednesday, building permits have been issued to build shells for all three retail stores. The permits show that Old Navy will be located at 2460 Calumet Trace, Carter’s at 2466, and LOFT at 2468.

That would place them next to Buckle and Boot Barn, which OT announced in January were coming to Gateway Commons. They would also be near the recently announced new location for Publix Super Markets, which is going in the northwest corner of Pleasant Valley Road and Hayden Road (across from TownePlace Suites Owensboro, just north of the multi-unit centers already in Gateway Commons).

Old Navy has clothing options for the entire family. The building permit for their store shows the shell will be 12,480 square feet, with a construction cost of $1,200,000.

Carter’s specializes in baby and children’s apparel. The building permit for their store shows the shell will be 4,000 square feet, with a construction cost of $575,000.

LOFT focuses on clothing, jewelry, and other accessories for women. The building permit for their store shows the shell will be 5,000 square feet, with a construction cost of $625,000.

All three building permits were issued to Envision Contractors on March 26. Permits were also issued to Westerfield Electric on March 28 for the electrical buildout of Carter’s and Loft.

Owensboro Times was unable to immediately reach representatives for any of the three retailers.
