The Hornets took down Meade County 3-2, with Lucas Anderson, Tyce Boiling, and Tre London all winning their singles matches. For the Lady Hornets, they fell 5-0.
“This was a huge win for the boys against a team that beat us last year, including two marathon tiebreakers, one that we won and one we lost,” Hancock County head coach Dan Hopkins. “Great job by our singles players who swept and won the match for us. I am also proud of our top doubles team that battled hard and barely lost to a good team. The girls played hard against good players. We’ve got several girls that are just beginning, and once they get better, watch out.”
