Shoppers looking for unique treasures and bargain deals will soon have a new marketplace to explore. The Owensboro Flea Market will make its debut at the Owensboro Convention Center from March 28-30, and it will return three times this year.
With more than 275 vendor booths from six states, the market will offer a wide range of items, including antiques, collectibles, boutique apparel, home décor, electronics, and overstock merchandise.
The Owensboro Flea Market will be open from 2-6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $2, with free entry for children 15 and under. Parking is free.
The grand opening marks the beginning of a new venture for Stewart Promotions, a company with more than 50 years of experience in organizing flea markets across the region.
The Owensboro Flea Market will be held quarterly in 2025, with future events scheduled for July 11-13, Sept. 26-28, and Dec. 5-7.
To celebrate the launch, the event will feature a live broadcast from WBKR on Saturday. In addition, a $100 cash giveaway will be available for those who share social media posts promoting the market.
According to event organizers, what sets the Owensboro Flea Market apart is its scale and variety.
“The Owensboro Flea Market will be unique to the region in sheer size,” said John Stewart of Stewart Promotions. “We have vendors from six states traveling to Owensboro to sell their merchandise, most of whom have never done a show in the area.”
While the lineup of goods will only be fully revealed once vendors set up, attendees can expect to find an assortment of antiques, tools, knives, crafts, metal art, and boutique items.
“We have a good amount of antiques and collectibles, although particular items are only known once the vendors and shoppers arrive,” Stewart said.
Stewart Promotions has a long history of organizing successful flea markets, but the industry has shifted in recent years. The company has adapted by focusing on four key markets and holding seasonal events rather than monthly ones.
“This approach seems to match demand, as repeat attendees eagerly anticipate each event,” Stewart said. “We have built up an incredible vendor base over all those years who know the quality of our shows and that we market our events heavily to bring in thousands of shoppers.”
