Craig Andrew Roach

Craig Andrew Roach, 51, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025. The Daviess County native was born October 9, 1973, to Tony and Celia Roberts Roach. Craig graduated from Apollo High School, class of 1991, where he played on the Eagles soccer team. A quiet, kind, and caring man, Craig was always ready and willing to serve others. His family and friends were the beneficiaries of his selflessness. His amateur fireworks displays, water balloon fights, and Pez candy dispensers thrilled his niece and nephews whom he loved to entertain. Craig loved taking his granddaughter, who affectionately called him “GPop”, to breakfast and the Farmer’s Market. He loved attending all her sporting events. Many were grateful recipients of his grilling and smoking meat skills, followed by his delicious home-made ice cream. Craig also exhibited his “MacGyver” ability to repair just about anything with duct tape and whatever he could find. Craig was an avid UK fan. When not fishing, landscaping, or working in his garden, Craig loved history and watching the History Channel, KET, and ESPN.

Craig also was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Barbara and Harold Roach; maternal grandparents, Frances and Wallace Roberts; aunt, Janice Roach Gaddis; uncles, Joseph and Mark Roberts; cousins, Billy and Joe Roberts Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of eight years, Kristy Flaspoehler Roach; his step-son with whom he had a special bond, Brady Flaspoehler (Rachel); grandchildren, Miller and Baker Flaspoehler; parents, Tony and Celia Roach all of Owensboro; brother, Keith Roach (Abbey) of Floyds Knobs; sister, Jennifer Bishop (Richie) of Paducah; nephews and niece, Ben, Jackson, and Caroline Roach; aunt, Julie Roberts Houston (Ricky); uncle, Warren Roberts (Ellen).

The funeral service will be noon Monday, March 17 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory followed by burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 until 5:00 pm and Monday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
