Wilma J. (Yeckering) Kaelin, 78, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025. She was born in Owensboro on March 21, 1946, to the late Bernard and Anna Louise (Jarboe) Yeckering. Wilma retired from MPD as a quality inspector for 21 years and then went on to retire from J.C Penny as a store associate after 12 years.
Wilma was known for her boundless love for her family especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church. Wilma was a graduate from Owensboro Catholic High School and received her associate’s degree from Owensboro Community College.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Todd (Jamie) Kaelin and Kim Maglinger; her grandchildren, Eric Maglinger, Audrey Maglinger, Terra Sidebottom, Brandi Sidebottom and Dymon Sidebottom; along with 6 great grandchildren.
Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Blessed Mother Catholic Church, with Father Brandon Williams officiating. Innichement to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to visitation at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Fr. Will Thompson will lead in prayer at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Blessed Mother Catholic Church, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
