A new apartment complex managed by Sky Property Management on Owenboro’s east side marks the latest addition to the growing housing market locally. Located at the intersection of Daniels Lane and Hayden Road near KY 54, the development will feature 128 units, offering a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments.
The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday for the complex.
Cassidy Law, director of client relations for Sky Property Management, said the units provide a modern yet affordable housing option.
“We wouldn’t call them luxury, but they’re modern, with updated finishes,” Law said. “They’re great for families, single individuals, or couples – really anyone. We felt like Owensboro needed more of these types of options, and we believe this will be a great addition to the community.”
The apartments come with stainless steel appliances and washer-dryer connections. While no amenities have been finalized yet, Law said the company is considering additions such as a park or playground to enhance the complex.
Sky Property Management, based in Bowling Green, has been expanding into the Owensboro market recently. The company previously took over Legacy Commons, an apartment complex on Chuck Gray Court, where they completed renovations, including exterior updates and recreational areas.
Chase Kelley, one of the owners of the new development, said the group saw an opportunity in Owensboro due to its similarities with Bowling Green, where housing demand remains high.
“With us being from Bowling Green, we spend a lot of time in Owensboro through youth sports and the colleges,” Kelley said. “We saw that Owensboro had fewer housing options than Bowling Green, so we wanted to help meet that need. The city and local officials have been great to work with, from officials to inspectors.”
Kelley said the complex is in a prime location, with close access to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, Gateway Commons, and KY 54, which he likened to Bowling Green’s busy Scottsville Road corridor.
The apartments are available for lease through Sky Property Management and are listed on Apartments.com.
