Harold Eugene Crowe, 79, of Philpot, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born September 9, 1945 in Philpot to the late William Clarence Crowe and Norma Pearl Reynolds Crowe. Harold was the owner/operator of Crowe’s Backhoe and Dozer for 40 years where he worked with his son, Curtiss. He was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church. Harold enjoyed traveling in his RV, being out on the water, swimming, camping outdoors and woodworking. He loved his faith family at Yellow Creek.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Crowe; brother-in-law, Glenn Hunt; and an infant sister, Brenda Crowe.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Watson Crowe; son, Curtiss Crowe (Debbie); stepdaughters, Angela Watson (Maidar) and Michele Douglas (Neil); grandchildren, Tabatha Thompson, April Edwards, Timothy Ashby Jr., Liam Douglas and Grace Douglas; sister, Judy Hunt; sister-in-law, Ann Crowe; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
