It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Latrel Haught. He departed this life on Monday, February 17, 2025, at the young age of 21. Stephen was born on March 24, 2003, to Kelly Jo Marshall and Stephen Haught in Owensboro, KY.

Stephen was an adventurous young man with an infectious smile that will truly be missed. His loved ones called him “Junior”. He was a loving father, son, grandson, brother, cousin and friend. Stephen enjoyed playing and watching baseball, football and basketball. He loved spending time with his daughter, family, friends. Junior found great joy participating in outside activities like fishing, hunting, boat rides on the river and living the country life. Although, he was not a member of Zion Baptist Church, it was still his home church where he attended often with his family.

Stephen was preceded in death by his paternal Grandparents Edward Tinsley and Mary Jo Haught and his maternal Grandmother Darlene Marshall, Great Aunt Darnetta Marshall, and Uncles James Tinsley, Adam Haught and Anthony Marshall.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his beautiful daughter Alyce Loren Berry; parents Kelly Jo Marshall (Anthony Hester), Stephen Haught (LaShawna); siblings Kelleisha Haught, Eli Simmons, KeUndray Moody, Joilyn Haught, Keshawna Merriweather, Raishawn Washington, DaShawn Johnson; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly. Junior had a good heart and loved his many friends and family very much.

Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday February 28, 2025 at McFarland Funeral Home, 1001 West 5th Street, Owensboro, KY 42301. Celebration of Life services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday March 1, 2025 at Zion Baptist Church 2311 W. 9th St., Owensboro, KY. An additional visitation opportunity will take place at the church from 11:00 am until the service begins.

Burial services will be held at Rosehill Cemetery Chapel of Peace after the funeral. Officiant: Rev. Larry Lewis, Pastor Zion Baptist Church and Eulogist: Rev. Rhondalyn Randolph, Pastor Pleasant Point Baptist Church.
