Jordan Wilson has been appointed executive director of Friends of Sinners, a local Christ-centered substance abuse recovery program. Wilson is taking on the leadership role after nearly 6 years as the FOS development director.

Wilson said that with nearly 9 years of personal sobriety and “a deep, transformative walk with Jesus,” he is a living testament to the power of faith, recovery, and redemption.

During his time as development director, Wilson played a key role in expanding the organization’s outreach and fundraising efforts, helping to establish a foundation that supports countless individuals on their path to recovery. His vision for the future of Friends of Sinners includes further expanding the program’s impact, fostering community relationships, and ensuring that every person who comes to the ministry receives the love and support they need to rebuild their lives.

“I am honored and humbled to take on this new role with Friends of Sinners,” Wilson said. “The work we do here is more than just a program — it’s a ministry, and it’s my heart’s desire to continue offering a path to recovery, hope, and a restored life through the power of Christ.”

Wilson understands firsthand the challenges of overcoming substance abuse, and his passion for helping others is grounded in his own experiences. Over the last 9 years, he has been actively involved in various recovery communities, mentoring others, and sharing his testimony as a way of offering hope to those who feel lost in the darkness of addiction.

“I’ve witnessed firsthand the incredible transformation that happens when individuals come to know Jesus and experience His healing,” he said. “The staff we have here at FOS is absolutely incredible and I look forward to leading this amazing team as we continue to serve those in need.”

Friends of Sinners has been providing faith-based recovery services to individuals battling substance abuse for more than 15 years. The organization is committed to guiding people on their recovery journey through faith, education, and community, offering programs that focus on healing the mind, body, and spirit.

The FOS Board of Directors said in a joint statement that the organization’s staff members are mission workers in the community, with Wilson as a prime example.

“We are looking forward to this next season as we know God has gone before us,” the board said. “The board is confident in Jordan’s experience in development and his heart for the mission of FOS to work with and lead this exceptional group.”
