Apollo beat Union County at home, while Owensboro dropped their regular season finale to Henderson County.
Apollo 66, Union County 45
Missing one of their key contributors, the Eagles found a way to take care of business beating Union County 66-45. Landon Henning finished with 19 points and was a perfect 5-5 at the line, while Tate Powers hit five threes to go along with his 19 points. Seniors Luke Jarboe and Kobe Kelly finished their last ever home game at Apollo with 13 points and four points respectively.
“This was a great win for us,” Apollo head coach Ryne Tinsley said. “Union County is ranked third in the second region RPI and we won convincingly without WIlliams. I am proud of our guys and for our two seniors, Luke Jarboe and Kobe Kelly to win at home in their last game this year here.”
Henderson County 73, Owensboro 56
Michael Acton scored 18 of his team-high 26 points in the second half in Owensboro’s 73-56 loss to Henderson County. Keaton Hughes added 18 points and will Hume hit two threes to go along with his eight points.
