It was an off night for the local teams as Daviess County, Owensboro, and Trinity (Whitesville) all lost.

Breckinridge County 70, Daviess County 61

Traveling to Breckinridge County, the Panthers fell short on the road 70-61. Jonathan Moss led the way with 22 points, six rebounds, six steals, and five assists, while DeAaron Watkins added 14 points, seven rebounds, three steals, and one assist. Aydan Ayer hit two threes to go along with his 12 points and also added six rebounds and three assists.

“Breckinridge played really well and is a tough well-rounded team,” Daviess County head coach Neil Hayden said. “We didn’t shoot the ball well and foul trouble limited some of our players.”

Lyon County 90, Owensboro 80

Playing on short rest, Owensboro couldn’t pull off the road upset, falling to Lyon County 90-80. Michael Acton scored 12 of his team-high 25 points in the fourth quarter, while Keaton Hughes added 22 points. Will Hume hit four threes to go along with his 12 points and Cade Arnold recorded 10 points.

Webster County 66, Trinity (Whitesville) 51

Playing for the second straight night, Trinity lost on the road to Webster County 66-51. Will Hernandez scored six of his team-high 14 points in the third quarter, while Hayden Aull hit two threes to go along with his 10 points. Connor Hatfield was third on the team in scoring with eight points.

“We let Webster dictate the tempo and played into their hands by shooting some quick shots,” Trinity (Whitesville) head coach Nathan West said. “When we slowed down a little, we usually scored or got a good look.”
