The fishing lakes at Yellow Creek and Panther Creek Parks will each be stocked with approximately 750 rainbow trout this Thursday.
Daviess County Fiscal Court Parks and Recreation partners with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources for the Fishing in Neighborhoods (FINs) program to stock the lakes.
The FINs program was created in 2006 to provide anglers with quality fishing opportunities close to home. The program currently includes 45 lakes statewide that are regularly stocked with catfish and rainbow trout throughout the year. Sunfish and bass populations are regularly sampled with stocking occurring as needed.
Anglers 16 and older must possess a statewide fishing license and purchase a permit to keep rainbow trout.
Daily catch limits are posted at each park. For a complete list of FINs regulations, click here.
