Chief James Howard opened the event by emphasizing the significance of peer-driven recognition within the department.

“These nominees are submitted by their colleagues, and all members are eligible to vote. This process allows us to highlight those who exemplify the highest standards of firefighting, emergency response, and leadership,” Howard said.

Throughout the ceremony, award recipients expressed gratitude to their colleagues and mentors.
