Daviess County beat Apollo in an important district match, while Hancock County lost to Meade County.

Daviess County 58, Apollo 13

Kennedy Lane led all scorers with 19 points and added four rebounds and four steals in the Lady Panthers 58-13 win over Apollo. Zoey Beehn finished with nine points, seven rebounds, three steals, and one block, while Lily Hoagland, and Maddie Baron both finished with nine points.

For Apollo, Laney Rhodes Emersyn Bullington led the way with three points. Eriyah Curry (2), Brylei Brake (2), Mattingly Taylor (2), and Jessica Lee (1) rounded out the teams scoring.

Meade County 65, Hancock County 38

The Lady Hornets had no answer for Meade County’s Peyton Bradley (22 points) falling 65-38. Ansley House finished with a team-high 14 points, while Carolina Jones added 13 points. Izzy Ross was third on the team in scoring with seven points.

“I thought we played extremely hesitant in the first half, but I saw lots of improvements in the second half,” Owensboro Catholic head coach Kevin Husk said. “Especially with our mindset and that reflected in the second half score.”
