
Hope Michelle Crabtree went to be with our Jesus on February 2, 2025 at the age of 47. Hope was born in Owensboro on February 9, 1977. She was baptized and confirmed at Saints. Joe and Paul Church. Hope attended Apollo High School and was a Kentucky organ donor.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Johnson Crabtree; maternal grandparents, Ray and Aggie Hayden; paternal grandparents, Herman and Christina Crabtree; and a cousin, Matthew Logsdon.
Hope is survived by her mother Martha Crabtree of Owensboro; four children, Brooklyn Spohn (Billie) of Leitchfield, Austin Crabtree (Mary) of Owensboro, Aggie Davenport and Carter Davenport of Owensboro; grandson, Dawson Crabtree (son of Austin and Mary); three siblings, Tina Sowney (Todd) of Port Richey Florida, John R. Crabtree of Owensboro, and Joseph Crabtree of Richmond, Ky; aunts and uncles, Sissy Fenwick of Franklin, Ky. Kitty Gray (Phillip) of Hartford, Ky. and Frank Hayden of Owensboro; cousins, John Goggans II, Beth Lash (Corey) and Melanie Rae Houtchen (Evan) all of Owensboro; second cousins, Hayden, Maggie Rae, and Patrick Logsdon, and their mother, Jessica; nieces, Caitlin Hendry (Austin), Jessica Sowney, and Frances Sowney; and a nephew, Victor Sowney.
Hope loved all her family and friends, as well as her extended family. She enjoyed spoiling her grandson, Dawson and spending time with him daily. Hope loved the outdoors, had a loving, forgiving heart and an infectious laugh. She never met a stranger and will be missed and never forgotten.
A memorial Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Precious Blood Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday at the church. James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of her arrangements.
