Wanda Lorraine “Lorrie” Embry, age 57 of Louisville, KY passed away January 28, 2025, at University Hospital. She was born in Louisville on August 22, 1967. She was a former employee of Kroger where she worked as a clerk, but was happy to work in any department that needed her. She was an avid University of Kentucky and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She loved visits with her family.
Wanda was preceded in death by her father Wendell “Winnie” Embry and her mother Hazel Orr, special friend Ellie Green, brother Eric “Bubble” Embry, brother John Young and niece Marie Orr.
She is survived by her Mom/Nana: Helen Butler of Elizabethtown, KY
Stepmother: Mildred “Millie” Embry of Leitchfield, KY
2 sisters: Neva Orr of Louisville, KY and Michelle Cardwell (Mark) of Leitchfield, KY
2 brothers: Robin Embry of Morgantown, KY and Thomas Orr of Irvington, KY
Several nieces, nephews and their families including Megan Orr of Irvington, KY; Melanie House (Chris) of Louisville, KY and Thomas Orr of Louisville, KY
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 1:30 PM with burial in the Kingswood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 AM on Sunday. All times are central.
