Mona Louise Jones, 67, of Philpot, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at University of Kentucky Hospital. She was born July 24, 1957 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Jewell and Mary Rose Cain Merritt. Mona was a retired supervisor at Macy’s Department Store and was a member of South Hampton Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Joseph Jones Sr.; son, Joseph Jones Jr. (Kim); daughter, Ashley Hagan (Steve); grandchildren, Jennifer Tate (Joey), Skylar Clark, Laney Edge, Jarron Edge, Kirsten Hagan (Matt), Courtney Hagan (Dayton), Eric Hill (Tracy), Chance Colvin (Courtney), and Starrlina Rose (Sky); great-grandchildren, Azayla Hagan, Zaiden Montgomery, Ezekiel Montgomery, Tynlee Main, Bravery Colvin, and Baby Tate; siblings, Donna Kuder (Kim), Paula Moore (Tommy), Kevin Merriett, and Annie Hunnicutt (Charles); and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at South Hampton Baptist Church. Burial will follow in South Hampton Baptist Church. Visitation is from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory and from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
