The Owensboro Symphony will kick off its 2025 season on tonight with an evening of classical masterpieces, highlighting works by Beethoven, Brahms, and Haydn. The performance will feature special guest Thomas Hooten, principal trumpet of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, whose skills are featured in numerous film soundtracks including Jumanji: The Next Level, Superman vs Batman, and Strange World.

The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the RiverPark Center.

The program will open with Beethoven’s dramatic Egmont Overture and continue with Haydn’s Symphony No. 88. The evening will conclude with Brahms’ Variations on a Theme by Joseph Haydn, a work celebrated for its depth and complexity.
