A light dusting of snow — less than half an inch — is possible overnight Saturday, primarily across western Kentucky, Justin Gibbs with NWS Paducah Operations. While widespread travel disruptions are unlikely, isolated slick spots could develop.

Highs will struggle to reach the teens and 20s, with overnight lows dipping into the single digits, NWS models show. Wind chills may fall as low as minus 10 degrees, prompting teh NWS to issue a Cold Weather Advisory from Sunday evening through midday Monday.
No significant winter storms are expected during this cold stretch, but officials urge residents to take precautions. Frostbite and hypothermia are risks with prolonged exposure. Authorities advise keeping pets indoors and checking on vulnerable neighbors.
Temperatures are expected to moderate toward seasonal averages after Wednesday, according to the NWS.
