It was a clean sweep for the coverage teams as Daviess County, Hancock County, and Trinity (Whitesville) all picked up huge wins.

Kennedy Lane, Zoey Beehn, and Lily Hoagland combined for 52 points to help power the Lady Panthers past John Hardin 69-42. Beehn also grabbed 16 boards, while Hoagland led the team in steals with five. Daviess County’s defense held John Hardin to one field goal in the second quarter,

“It was another solid performance tonight and I am proud of our team,” Daviess County head coach Natalie Payne said. “We are buying into the small things, and we are allowing our defense to dictate our offense. I am really proud of how we are sharing the ball and making the extra pass. The girls are taking pride in their roles and are focused on doing what’s best for the team.”

Hancock County 59, Logan County 37

From start to finish, Hancock County put on a clinic, cruising to a 59-37 win over Logan County. Ansley House led the way with 28 points and seven rebounds, while Carolina Jones added 18 points and 10 assists. Izzy Ross and Madyson Higdon combined for nine points and 15 rebounds

“This young team put together their first complete game of the season,” Hancock County head coach Kevin Husk said. “I’m proud of how they worked together defensively which really led to great offense. We also took great care of the basketball, and I am really happy for this group.”

Trinity (Whitesville) 52, Hart County 51

It was a balanced attack as eight different Lady Raiders scored in their narrow 52-51 win over Hart County. Sarah Payne hit three threes to go along with her team-high 15 points, while Rylynee Meserve was second on the team in scoring with 14 points. Nevaeh Mills and Ella Morris each added six points.
