Katherine Mae Johnston, 80, of Hawesville, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at her home. She was born in Glen Dean, Ky on June 14, 1944 to the late John and Lucinda Corder Dunn. Katherine was a Nurse and had worked at Fern Terrace and Rest Haven Nursing & Rehab. She was preceded in death by her husband, Judge Johnston; siblings, Tana Curl, Steve Dunn, Barbara Ann Fuqua and Lola Dunn, Frank Sabelhaus special Sister-in-law Sammye K Dunn and Bobbie Sabelhaus.
Katherine is survived by her children, Tonya Johnston, Benjamin Johnston and Lawrence Johnston; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Rita Ferns, Willie Dunn, John Dunn, Angie Dunn, Larry Dunna and Edna Hurt along with several nieces and nephews and special friends Rick and Shelly Decker.
As per Katherine’s wishes, no services are to be held. Gibson & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with care.
