Shirley Ann Frakes, 85, of Owensboro, passed away on January 7, 2025, at Signature HeathCARE at Hillcrest. She was born July 22, 1939, in Owensboro to the late Jesse Frakes and Marscena Taylor Frakes. Shirley was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in McQuady, Ky. and enjoyed her family, music, and the Lord.
In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her niece, Lisa Jacob; granddaughter, Jessica Moss; and brother, Robert Frakes.
Those left to cherish his memory include her children, Larry Moss and Terry (Leann) Moss, grandchildren, Tara (Greg), Austin (Abby), Chad (Mandy), and Lacey; great-grandchildren, Addy, Tavius, Gavin, Clayton, Layla, and Jackson; great-great-grandchild, Zion; and sister, Millie Frakes.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will take place in Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to visitation on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
