He is preceded in death by his siblings; Larry and Donald and in-laws, Judy Priar, Brenda Priar, Janice and Don Frey, and Larry and Pat Gatton. Glover was born in Utica, KY on January 19th, 1943 to Christine (Ralph) and Glover Priar Sr. He attended and played basketball at Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro for his
undergraduate studies in education and obtained his Master’s Degree from Western Kentucky University. His teaching career spanned over 43 years having taught at Daviess County Middle School, Tell City High School, Haubstadt High School, and Gibson Southern High School, where he retired in 2008. He touched many lives as a teacher, coach and athletic director. Glover treasured, more than anything, spending time with his children and grandchildren. The
influence that he had on their lives is simply something that cannot be measured. Traveling across the United States with them on annual summer vacations helped instill a natural curiosity for the world, spending hours sitting on the front porch listening to his collection of 8-track tapes instilled an appreciation of music, and the lessons gained from his unwavering strength of character and candor will be forever cherished. Visitation will be held at Stodghill Funeral Home on January 10th from 2-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul in Haubstadt on January 11th at 10:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. We would like to express our gratitude to the staff of the North River Health Campus and Heart to Heart Hospice. Memorial contributions can be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Haubstadt or to Gibson Southern Scholarships.
