Power outages have begun for Owensboro-Daviess County. Here’s what we know, plus how to stay updated on outages in the area. This post will continually be updated.
CURRENT OUTAGES

- 3:40 p.m.
Kenergy is reporting nearly 300 total customers are affected. Of those, 285 were affected by the first outage reported in Daviess County at 3:14 p.m. - 4 p.m.
OMU is reporting three customers affected by three separate outages reported just before 3:45 p.m. - 4:05 p.m.
Kenergy has restored power to 67 customers, leaving 220 still affected by two separate outages. - 4:15 p.m.
Kenergy’s map briefly showed a jump to nearly 325 customers currently affected. Within a couple of minutes, it was down to 197 currently affected, with power restored to 209 customers. - 4:18 p.m.
A Kenergy outage is affecting 462 customers in the Utica area. A second outage is affecting another 11 customers, also near Utica. The total number of customers affected in Daviess County has jumped to 592.
OMU is still only showing three customers affected. - 4:25 p.m.
A predicted outage (meaning crews have not gotten on-site to verify yet) for Kenergy is affecting approximately 550 customers in the Pellville area. The total number of customers affected in Daviess County has jumped to 893. - 4:45 p.m.
Not much has changed. Kenergy’s outage map shows approximately 900 customers currently affected, while OMU’s map still shows three. - 5:08 p.m.
Kenergy restored power to most of the Utica residents affected by an outage. Kenergy is down to 539 customers currently affected.
OMU is reporting 17 customers are now affected by an outage. - 5:20 p.m.
A new outage for OMU is affecting 31 customers, bringing the current OMU outage total to 48. - 5:45 p.m.
The biggest new outage for Kenergy is affecting nearly 300 customers in the Panther Creek and Windy Hollow areas. A total of 791 customers are currently affected.
OMU is now reporting 60 customers affected by outages. - 6:15 p.m.
More outages in the Panther Creek area and along KY 81, along with some other small outages across the county, have pushed Kenergy’s total number of customers currently affected to about 1,200.
OMU is still reporting approximately 60 customers affected by outages. - 6:35 p.m.
The number of Kenergy customers affected by a current outage is down to about 534. The utility has restored power to more than 800 customers who were affected at some point today.

The number of power outages reported by Kentery has gone back up to nearly 900 customers, the majority of which are on the east side of the county.

The number of customers with power outages for Kenergy has held steady, while OMU’s map shows they are down to about 35 customers affected. - 8:15 p.m.
The number of customers with power outages for Kenergy has risen to about 1.1 thousand, with the majority of those affected on the east side. OMU’s map shows they have about 40 customers currently affected. - 9:15 p.m.
The number of customers with power outages for Kenergy is down to about 730, with nearly all of those affected on the east side. OMU’s map shows they have about 35 customers currently affected. - 10:15 p.m.
The number of customers with power outages for Kenergy and OMU has remained relatively unchanged. - 11:15 p.m.
Kenergy is reporting just more than 700 customers without power, nearly all of which are in the northeastern portion of the county.
OMU is reporting 64 customers with an outage. Of those, 30 are in the northwest portion of the city. - 12:30 a.m.
Kenergy is reporting 524 customer outages, while OMU is down to 25. - 8:30 a.m.
Kenergy still has about 400 customers affected by an outages, while OMU is down to one. - 11 a.m.
Kenergy’s reported outages jumped to nearly 900 after a new outages affecting 555 customers in the area of Southtown Boulevard.
OMU has no current reported outages.
