Laura Jean Cook, 69, of Owensboro, passed away December 30, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born July 25, 1955, to the late David and Viola Cook in Hardinsburg, KY. She was a dedicated licensed nurse practitioner for over 40 years at various healthcare facilities in Louisville. Laura had the heart of a volunteer and was a docent for the Louisville Zoo for many years, as well as offering her time to local hospice organizations.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Pamela Dale Cook and Marilyn Denise Cook.
Those left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Linda (Jim) Newton, Beverly (Dennis) Siegrist, and Michael (Kitty) Cook, several nieces and nephews, as well as many lifelong friends.
