William “Bill” Burns, 76, of Owensboro, gained his heavenly wings and was called home on December 26, 2024, to reunite with his true love. Bill was born December 13, 1948, to the late William and Carrie Burns in West Virginia. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed deer hunting in his spare time and spending precious moments with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lois Burns, and sister, Suzette Burns-Poole.
Those left to cherish his memories are his children, William (Susan) Burns and Penny (Carlie) Wester; sister, Cindy Burns; grandchildren, Leslie Burns, John Burns, Katelyn Burns, Jonna, and Luke O’Bryan; great granddaughter, Vivianne; as well as many other loving family and friends.
A memorial service to honor Bill will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Grace Point Baptist Church, 2339 W. Parrish Ave., Owensboro, KY 42301, beginning at 10 a.m. Family and friends are welcome to join in honoring Bill’s life.
