Phillip “Phill” Wayne Baldwin, 73, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024 at his home. He was born June 14, 1951 in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Marian and Eula Parr Baldwin. Phill was a self-employed truck driver and a lifetime member of OOIDA. He won numerous safety awards, served on accident boards, and taught many people how to drive trucks. Phill was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Baldwin and Kenny Baldwin; sisters-in-law, Donna Baldwin and Lisa Baldwin; and brothers-in-law, Orville Brooks and David TarBush.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gail Holloway Baldwin; son, Matthew Baldwin (Melissa); siblings, Donald Baldwin and Cathy Brooks; sisters-in-law, Tiffany Baldwin and Casey TarBush; brother-in-law, Theron Holloway (Debi); and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00pm on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation is on Saturday from 12:00pm until 5:00pm at the funeral home.
