OLATON – Raleigh Godsey Nabours, 92, of Olaton, Kentucky passed away December 28th, 2024 at Ohio County Hospital. He was born July 20th, 1932 in Olaton to the late Willie and Finis E. Young Nabours.
Raleigh served in U.S. Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He was a glove cutter at Montpelier Glove Company where he worked for 33 years. He enjoyed farming and spending time with family and friends. He had a passion for dancing.
In addition to his parents, Raleigh is preceded in death by his first wife, Maurita Nabours; son, Raleigh Dale; grandson, Richard; granddaughter, Violet Maurita; great-granddaughter, Blakleigh Jane; brothers, Quinton and Dewey; and sister, Lou Della.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Nabours; sons, Richard Terry Nabours and Donald Nabours; daughters, Debbie (Curtiss) Crowe, Donna (Ronnie) Burden; daughter-in-law, Sharon Nabours; sister, Blenda (Eugene) Filback; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday, January 3rd, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Thursday, January 2nd, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Friday from 9:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
